IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT NON-THESIS MASTER PROGRAM APPLICATIONS FOR 2020-2021 FALL SEMESTER 

• Our 2020-2021 Fall Semester Non-Thesis Master's Program Applications will be made completely online between 31 August 2020 - 19 September 2020.

• In order to apply to the Graduate Programs without Thesis in the Graduate School of Business Economics, candidates must first register at http://basvuru.istanbul.edu.tr.

• After logging into the Application System, the education information regarding the undergraduate program the candidates graduated from will be automatically uploaded to the system. (Candidates who have completed their undergraduate education abroad will be required to enter their education information into the system themselves.) (Candidates who have completed their undergraduate education in our country but whose educational information does not appear in the system should contact the student affairs unit of the school where they completed their undergraduate education and request that their educational information be uploaded to the YOKSİS system.)

• Afterwards, candidates will complete their applications by selecting the Graduate School of Business Economics Programs they want to apply from the Preference screen. Each candidate can apply maximum for three programs. 

• Candidates who have completed their undergraduate education in a program in which the medium of instruction is English in Turkey or abroad do not need to submit an English Exam Certificate (like YDS, YOKDİL, TOEFL, etc.) or take the English Placement Exam of the Institute of Business Economics.

The Updated Evaluation Criteria for 2020-2021 Fall Semester Non-Thesis Graduate Programs Admissions of our Institute have been updated by the Istanbul University Senate as follows.

 

In determining the entrance grade for Formal Education Non-Thesis Master's Programs

• 50% of ALES or equivalent exam grade
• 50% of undergraduate GPA

In fractional notes, the three digits after the comma are rounded off. In order to be accepted to the program, the entrance grade must be at least 65. Candidates will be placed the announced quotas in order starting from the highest grade.

 

In determining the entrance grade for Evening Education Master's Programs without Thesis

• Only Undergraduate GPA will be taken into account.

In fractional notes, the three digits after the comma are rounded off. The evaluation is made by ranking according to the diploma grade of the applicants.
